Kipper’s Snowy Day – the movie!

View Gallery

For 2020, we’ll be streaming our delightful filmed version of Kipper’s Snowy Day via a number of theatres and cinemas around the country throughout December, so keep an eye on our website for the full list, or go to your local theatre’s website. If in doubt, get in touch with us and we’ll point you in the right direction.

If you’re a venue and interested in booking the film, contact our producer

‘It was a new morning, and it was snowing!
Kipper rushed outside.
The snow lay deep and smooth and new, like an empty page waiting to be scribbled on…’

Kipper and his best friend Tiger go an adventure in the snow – but on the way they lose their friend Arnold in a terrible storm. Will they find him? And will they find their way back home?

Slot Machine Theatre presented the first ever stage adaptation of Mick Inkpen’s well-loved books in 2014 – now, in response to the current situation, we’ve made a film of this stage adaptation that you can see at your local theatre, cinema, or stream at home.
For 3+ years.

Filled with original songs and music, gorgeous puppetry and gentle humour, this warm-hearted Christmas show is perfect for children and their families.

And there’s loads of extra activities too:

  • There’ll be a YouTube vid to show you how to make some Kipper Ears to wear at your screening – share your pics to enter our competition on Facebook
  • Grab your Ukulele and learn one of the songs in the show via our YouTube tutorial – then play or sing along with Kipper and Tiger during the show
  • Download our activity pack for schools, packed full of ideas for Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 – handy for parents too!
  • Keep a look out for online appearances of Kipper himself

And keep an eye on our website for news of venues and booking details.

This is one of 3 shows Norden Farm has commissioned us to create, alongside Miki and One Snowy Night.

We’re incredibly grateful to Norden Farm for producing and commissioning these shows: they wouldn’t have been made without a huge amount of work by the venue on every aspect of the productions.

‘a classic children’s tale… perfectly expresses the excitement of Christmas Eve and playing in the snow… superb’
