A little nugget of theatrical wonder

UK Theatre Network

The Show

‘I wish I could catch a star… a star would shine forever’
A long time ago and very far away, Miki, Polar Bear and Penguin lived in a place that was always cold and dark.
One midwinter eve, they make a wish, and Miki embarks on a magical adventure…
…in search of a star.

Featuring amazing underwater creatures, songs to sing along to and extraordinary puppetry, Miki is an inspiring story about friendship, courage and adventure.

Adapted by Slot Machine Theatre from the book by acclaimed artist Stephen Mackey.
For 3+ years

This show was orginally produced and commissioned by Norden Farm Centre for the Arts in Maidenhead in 2011, the first of 3 shows Norden Farm commissioned us to create, alongside One Snowy Night and Kipper’s Snowy Day.

We’re incredibly grateful to Norden Farm for producing and commissioning these shows: they wouldn’t have been made without a huge amount of work by the venue on every aspect of the productions.
